I know people can't see who has voted for who, but the results can bee sen, so if it's close between two people it might encourage people to for one of those just to stop the other person winning rather than them voting for their number one preference. It sort of means that when you cast your vote is important, when that shouldn't matter.

Yep it is, it's what has been used in the Speaker elections I believe in the HofC.
