(ii) Determinant = 0 when a = 3 so no unique solution. The equations are consistent because 3 x equation 3 - equation 1 = equation 2. (3 marks)

(ii) Show (1 mark)

(iii) ±541±4i41\displaystyle \pm \frac{5}{41} \pm \frac{4i}{41} (4 marks)

do you think i will lose marks for keeping the 1/41 factorised for my answer to 10 iii?

For question 2ii it said write as x+iy so shouldn't u of seperated them

I'm not very good at judging as I have taken all the papers over a number of years rather than a few weeks like you but it seemed of standard difficulty to me.

I would be grateful if you could answer these:

For question 6i, how many marks would I lose for writing 2 instead of root 5

For my sketch, the sketch looks fine and is obviously not to scale put goes through the two points but has radius 2 instead of root 5 so many would I lose there?

For question 8ii how many would I lose for not combining the two fractions?

For the last question I didn't simplify the end result so I have 1/something. It is correct but not simplified so how much would I lose there?

I'm sorry for this but I'm just a bit worried
I think I dropped 13 marks at most but should get a few more method marks

How many marks do you think I will lose for not halfing the sum from the method of differences in 8. ii)? And will there be ECF for my sum to infinity?

And would I get any credit at all for 1 +4i and 5+2i for 6. iii? (not expecting anything however)

I expect so. I think this will be a very common mistake.

Just wondering how many marks i would lose for:

7ii) somehow fluffed up my matrix and got

-3 8
0 3

or something, but correctly described what it was and showed methods and everything of how i got there

10ii) didnt do or really even imply over 41 (not sure how i missed that), i identified conjugate root and then the roots of those
