The Coalition of Higher Education Students in Scotland (CHESS) is a group for representing higher education students in Scotland. All the unions have to pay an affiliation fee to be part of CHESS, similar to being part of the NUS.

It is a campaign body for discussing issues that effect students and representing them to national and governmental bodies.

Members

There are currently six members of CHESS. They are the unions of the following universities

Edinburgh University Students Association was a founding member in 2001, but disaffiliated in 2006.
