The information on this page is currently being relocated to college pages - if the information you seek is not here look there! In addition to the university-wide sports teams, most colleges field teams in popular sports such as football, rugby, hockey, netball, cricket and tennis. Here is some information from current students about each college's sports provision.

Men + Women's football Men's rugby Rowing Sports ground in Marston - about 10-15 mins from college Bar sports are taken very seriously!

Keble College

Has a rugby team that hasn’t lost a game this season and looks set to maintain its position as league champions. Secured back to back promotions in the previous seasons and has a cuppers win just under its belt. Training is taken seriously, with one or two of the Rugby Blues studying at Keble regularly taking sessions. The football team was relegated from the premiership last season in a last game of the season thriller, and is mid table in division one now. Rowing is very well funded and has a good uptake, with there being four novice boats this year.

Merton College

Oriel College

Pembroke College

One of the boatiest colleges on the river, Pembroke spend a lot of time and money on their training - fielding as many as 12 crews in Summer Eights.

The Queen's College

St Anne's College

St Catherine's aka Catz

St Hilda's

St. Hilda's has an ideal location directly next to the Iffley gym, and fields teams for rowing, rugby, pool and football. There's a tennis court, so I assume you can do tennis as well.

St Hugh's College

St John's College

Trinity College

There's a squash court in the Dolphin Yard, and sports facilities shared with LMH and another college (I forget which, possibly Catz?) somewhere near the Cherwell.

Worcester

Worcester has had by far the most successful college football team for the past few years, and has also good quality second and third teams. The rugby team is also of a good standard, and sits in the middle of the 2nd division currently. The hockey and netball teams are also very good, but rowing is of a fairly average standard.

Worcester is the only college with sports grounds in college - a rugby/football pitch and a hockey pitch in the first two terms, and a cricket pitch in Trinity. There are also tennis courts all year round. There is a small but modern gym also.
