It is shown on Arrested Development:Recently canceled, Arrested Development was the two and a half season comedy chronicle of the Bluth family, a rich upper class family filled with sociopathic members that fell into trouble when the father, George Bluth was arrested for crimes against the nation, as well as crimes within the company. The protagonist of the show is one of his sons, Micheal Bluth, who at the time of his fathers arrest was expecting to inherit the company once his father retired. When George gave the company to his wife, under the mistaken belief that a husband and wife cannot be charged with the same crime, Micheal had made up his mind to leave the family and take his son, George Micheal, away from them forever. He eventually decides however, that as much as he would like to leave, his family depends upon him. The Characters: *Warning, Spoilers*George Bluth: The Father, arrested for treason after selling houses to Saddam Hussein during the export ban. His sons attempts to get him out of jail are marred by the fact that he enjoys it in there. Eventually, he escapes and runs to Mexico in the second season, where he is arrested, again. when the family goes to retrieve him, they are told that he has died, when in fact he has merely bribed the guards. During his funeral, His son finds him in the Attic, where he spends the rest of the Second Season. Lucille Bluth: George's Wife, and eternal thorn in the side of her children. The woman is smart, sneaky, and always finds a way to get her way, by guilting and manipulating her children. Micheal Bluth: Basically the only normal member of his family. Leaving the protection of his families money, Micheal married and had a son, George-Micheal. After the death of his wife, Micheal lived inside the attic of a model home belonging to the Bluth Real Estate corporation while waiting for his father to retire and give him the company. When the families assets are frozen, many of his siblings are forced to move in with them, including his brother Gob (pronounced Jobe) and his sister Lindsey along with her out of work husband Tobias Funke, and their Daughter Maebe. Throughout both seasons, Micheal struggles to Gain control of the company, help his family who give him new problems at every turn, be a good role model for his son, of whom he becomes overprotective, and keep the company going without becoming as corrupt as his father. He is stressed, and always tries to be a good guy, and is never given any relief. Lindsay Funke: Micheal's sister. Lindsay never managed to get out of her families pocket, and depended on the money to support her lifestyle until the assets became frozen. Her and her husband often held charity dinners as a matter of course before there was no more money to do so. While good at heart, Lindsay often falls into greed and takes money whenever she can. She wants to be a good parent to her daughter Maebe, but often becomes lazy and lets her daughter get away with much. Lindsay is probably the only character on the show who sees what Micheal is going through and wants to help, but often only gives him more problems.
Prison BreakPrison Break is a series by Fox. It is about a structural engineer, Michael Scofield, who deliberately commits a felony with the intent of being sentenced to Fox River State Penitentiary. He believes that his brother, Lincoln, is innocent and has been framed. Lincoln is to be executed soon and Michael plans to escape prison with his brother. The show's third season recently finished airing in America, and came to a rather early finish due to the controversial Guild of Writer's strike, which affected numerous programmes. It has been stated that, rather than finishing off the half-length season 3, a season 4 is intended instead. The SimpsonsThe Simpsons is a popular animated series, created by Matt Groening. The series now has 17 seasons and has been airing since 1989. The Simpsons are a family, with father Homer Simpson and his blue-haired wife, Marge. They have three children: Bart, a ten year old rebel, Lisa, a gifted eight year old and Maggie, the one-year-old who just sucks her dummy. The Simpsons family is meant to portray the image of a typical American family. Homer is the Average American, bald fat and lazy, often used to show the extremities of American beliefs and ideals. He is probably the character most often used to show a satire, or the stupidity of the point of view of a certain type of group or ideal. Marge is the straight woman in the show, but also a lot of her humour comes from her unflinching faith in all things she was taught from birth, the "mom and apple pie" character of the show. The Simpsons also includes an enormous cast of side characters which come in the show regularly, including Krusty the Clown, Dr. Hibbert, the next door neighbour Flanders, and Moe Syzlak the town bar keeper. These characters are generally one-dimensional, but many are given an entire episode to themselves. The show also has a huge list of celebrity guest stars - more then any other animated show - including Mel Gibson, Ron Howard and Mark Hammill. Many people criticize the more recent Simpsons episodes, claiming that they have lost a lot of the 'edge' that they used to have, and as such, The Simpsons is a little less popular nowadays. The Simpsons is often given to parody; every year they have a Halloween episode which often pokes fun at the Twilight Zone and classic B-horror films, as well as classic literature such as The Raven. The most parodied movie on the show is the creator's, Matt Groening's, favourite movie: Citizen Kane. Others
