China gives $600m to Cambodia

China has given $600 million in aid and low interest loans to Cambodia.

Most of this money has been earmarked for the building of dams and bridges, and also to build a new seat of government in Phenom Penh.

China has also given six naval patrol vessels, in an effort which it is hoped will reduce the growing human and drug trafficking trade, and also invested heavily in Cambodia's clothing industry.

In return, Cambodia has reaffirmed it's commitment to the One China Policy.

China would liek to point out that trade volume between China and Singapore is excellent. SIngapore is currently our 7th biggest trade partner in terms of volume, which hit $33.15 billion last year, and asl owould like to thank Singapore for being our eighth biggest investor, as you invested $27.74 billion in Chinese business last year.

China would like strong relations with Singapore to continue , represented by the "Senior Minister of the Republic of Singapore" Goh Chok Tong's one week visit to China on Wednesday.

China also thanks Singapore for it's commitment to the One China Policy.

Our relations certainly have had its bumps in the past.

The US would like to point out the BILLIONS of dollars it gives in foreign aid to countries and organisations around the world every year. In the 2004 Fiscal Year (the last year for when full records are available) the US gave US$26,613,000,000 (US$ 26.6 BILLION) of Economic Assistance in Overseas Loans and Grants. That is without counting Military Assistance of another US$6,791,000,000 (US$ 6.8 BILLION). The US awaits applause and gratitude.

China does of course thank the US for efforts in helping developing nations, which did of course include $4.44 billion procurement contracts signed a few days ago. China sees trade as a key factor in our bilateral ties. China is also happy to see that we are now your third biggest trading partner.
Israel applauds the USA's enormous generosity. It is difficult to express our gratitide but thanks to the USA, millions of lives are sustained.

Whilst Israel may be a small country, we have made numerous health and technology break throughs which help people around the world everyday. Israel is quick to send aid to countries if disaster strikes, even countries which refuse to recognise Israel. Israel awaits applause and gratitide.
