No spring weeks- what to do

Im a first yr student at a target, applied to loads of springs weeks and didn't get it. I didn't give my full effort mainly because i was focused on a lot of things (grades and career relevant extracurriculars). I'm mostly interested in asset management or equity research and wanted to ask if anyone here has any experience landing competitive summer internships without spring weeks and how they did this? I'm pretty worried about my prospects because i have no relevant society positions or relevant projects (rejected from all)
