Graduate job market as an international student

An already difficult to enter job market has become even more challenging especially with these new immigration laws. It's very unfortunate the state we as international students find ourselves in, especially in job sectors outside finance and tech.

What are some of your experiences navigating these treacherous waters?

People are receiving offer letters, but companies are asking for a graduate visa receipt to provide a full contract. The issue arises with how students can obtain a graduate visa receipt now if their student visa is expiring, let's say, in February next year.

Surely students are eligible to receive graduate visas upon the completion of their studies, which they can start applying for once their universities notify them of their eligibility. Unless the roles being applied to are permanent contracts then I don't see where the issue is here.
