Good news for those joining or thinking of joining especially those going to the Met

There will be an across the board 7% pay rise on all scales from September.

For Met officers only, there will also be an additional £1000 increase in London Allowance from September, bringing the total pay rise to about 9.5%

Also, for brand new people joining, there is apparently going to be a new starters pay scale which is around £100 per month higher than previous starters. This would put new starting PCDA and DHEP entrants on about £38,000 - although this one hasn't been totally confirmed as to how it will work yet.
